TrueCrime: They've Got A Dangerous Touch

Criminals have found a dangerous new way to commit crimes which represents a new level of danger to us all. I recently watched a video shown by a NY State Law Enforcement friend of mine. He used it as part of their training program for new recruits. It showed a woman coming out of a store around midday and walking to her car. As she went to open her car door and put some packages inside, she spotted a $20 bill on the ground. Before she could grab it, a man in a suit showed her his badge and told not to touch it. He pointed out a light colored wet substance thinly spread around the sides and top of the bill. It looked exactly like real Fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin, and 100 times stronger than morphine. Just 2 milligrams of fentanyl, equal to 10 to15 grains of table salt, is considered a lethal dose.

Some call this the hands-off rip-off. It's a new way to get what they want without giving themselves away or getting long prison sentences because of the violence they often use. Fentanyl has given them a way to get high and enjoy their work. They knock someone out with no real violence for most any nefarious reason and commit whatever crimes they like after the 2-15 minutes it takes to kick in and knock their targets out. Just touching Fentanyl gets it into your system and does the job leaving no witnesses behind without the need to murder or hurt anyone.

Experienced criminals know exactly how much to use and the best ways to apply it which might include money on the ground, handout sheets on cars, fake parking tickets or litter that may be picked up by anyone. instead of using guns and knives which causes courts to get matters confused and shorten their sentences. Parents must be especially careful not allowing their kids to hang around users. Even at neighborhood social events someone might hand you a plastic cup or food plate with it and you would never know. I'm not saying you shouldn't trust anyone. Just avoid getting into conflicts or hassles with people that might end your lives using this stuff.

About thirty years ago I wrote an article about a horrifying new method South American Drug Cartels were using to get their products into the US. I didn't want to because people here already think that Mexico was just a bunch of people selling us drugs. They were not. They were really nice, hard working folks that were friendly and had a wonderful culture of their own. I found out about it from some friends who worked for the Border Patrol in the El Paso area. I gave a number of seminars there and always enjoyed the people who came. They begged me to write the article and introduced me to the horrific story because no one else would. My wife and I met a lovely seventeen year old Mexican girl who told us about her friend from High School.

Their daughter had a friend her age who was too poor to attend school, but she borrowed books from the library and church to learn. Her youngest sister was just three months old. Her parents sold her young sister to the cartel. At first she thought maybe it was good because there was not enough food, but then they found their Mom crying terribly having discovered that the Cartel was buying all the babies they could find. They bought them, killed them and stuffed drugs in their bodies and diaper sacks having found out the drug dogs avoided them for some reason. Border Patrol agents just assumed that the infants were sleeping.

Within two weeks the entire thing was found out, then covered up. That's just one of many horrific ways in which Cartels move their deadly products. That's why it is so important to keep up with the latest ways in which criminals use things like Fentanyl to gain an advantage and avoid police detection. Remember to watch for things like pieces of paper on doors or windows. Anything that might by dosed.
