Unexplained UFO Orbs Connected To Alien Abductions and Shocking Military Encounters
Unexplained UFO Orbs Connected To Alien Abductions and Shocking Military Encounters
by Bill Knell
Glowing balls of light called Orbs are a frequently reported type of UFO (UAP) that often appear as large objects in the sky displaying different, mostly lighter colors. Orbs appear as self-illuminating and sometimes pulsating phenomena which have been documented in eyewitness accounts, including cases where they are described as descending to Earth. Orbs are noted for their ability to suddenly appear and disappear. Some glow and may exhibit changing patterns of light. Others are observed as having unique forms and can "turn off the lights," displaying dark modes.
Orbs regularly appear in conjunction with, or are associated with, alien abductions. Some witness testimonies link these orbs to having been part of the abduction process itself. Such was the case with the famous Betty and Barney Hill incident of missing time and abduction which occurred on a highway near Lancaster, New Hampshire in 1961. I have investigated many orb cases, but the most interesting ones involve orange or white balls of light (orbs) seen and photographed in the homes of people who have experienced multiple alien abductions. These orbs ranged in size from tiny, about the size of a coin, to the size of a basketball.
Since I investigate most paranormal or unexplained incidents, it was not unusual to have a case initially reported as a ghost orb in a residence. Apart from photographic anomalies and other mundane explanations, true inside structure orb incidents were often less about ghosts and more about alien abductions. That's when it really paid off to have a good knowledge base to work from. My early start as a teen with a high school UFO club, being an avid reader on the unexplained even before that, and access to Military Pilots and First Responders with UFO encounter stories really paid off.
One of my favorite cases involved a man who worked in the tech industry, experienced an alien abduction during which his car was lifted off of a highway by a UFO and had lots of physical evidence of alien visitation in and around his house, including odd scratches on his window pane and a circular pattern of affected grass in his backyard. He regularly saw, and was sometimes able to record, small orange or white orbs inside his residence. You can read his entire story in my book offered below this article.
The concept of orbs as part of extraterrestrial encounters has a long history with these objects being seen and drawn by witnesses for thousands of years. Many ancient texts include descriptions of flying luminous spheres. The Tulli Papyrus, an ancient Egyptian text, describes "circles of fire" in the sky around 1440 BC.
Modern encounters include the USS Nimitz incidents. This highly documented case involved military personnel witnessing UAPs, some with unprecedented maneuverability. It occurred off the coast of Southern California in November 2004. The case involved personnel from the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group. The cruiser USS Princeton, which was part of the Nimitz Group, was testing a new radar system and began detecting "multiple anomalous aerial vehicles". This continued for two weeks. During this time some crew members on deck reported seeing odd white and orange glowing spheres high in the sky.
On November 14 radar operators aboard the Princeton observed objects that appeared at 80,000 feet and rapidly descended to sea level, hovering over the water. Two F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter jets, flown by Commander David Fravor and Lieutenant Commander Alex Dietrich, were diverted from a training exercise to investigate the radar contacts. The pilots observed one white, oblong object, estimated to be about 40 feet long and shaped like a Tic-Tac mint, that hovered and moved erratically above the water. As Fravor approached, the object mimicked his movements before accelerating away at an incredible speed and disappearing.
A second pair of Super Hornets was scrambled to the same location, equipped with forward-looking infrared (FLIR) sensors. This flight captured the well-known "FLIR1" video footage of the object. As before, the object powered away at an incredible speed. This incident brought to light the existence of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), a shadowy Pentagon initiative to analyze reported UAP sightings.
In 1967 a glowing red orb was observed above an Air Force Base and caused nuclear missiles to become inoperative. The event occurred on the morning of March 16, 1967, at Malmstrom Air Force Base near Great Falls, Montana. A similar, earlier incident also reportedly took place at another Malmstrom site just days before. At the time, Captain Robert Salas was stationed in an underground launch control center and witnessed the events firsthand through communication with the security guard on the surface. The guard contacted Salas to report a glowing, reddish, oval-shaped object hovering silently over the front gate. Minutes later, all ten of the Minuteman nuclear missiles under Salas's control suddenly went into a "No-Go" status, indicating that they were inoperable.
Following the incident, Salas was reportedly instructed to never speak of what happened. He was later required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Air Force documents from the time noted that there was "no apparent reason" for the simultaneous missile shutdown and downplayed any connection to UFO sightings. The missiles were returned to alert status within a day. Salas did not publicly discuss the incident until 1996, after he read a book about similar events. Since then, he has become a vocal advocate for government transparency regarding UFOs and nuclear weapons.
