SHOCKING Submerged “FAST MOVERS” by Bill Knell USO sightings are on the rise in a disturbing way, but reports of Unidentified Submerged Objects is nothing new. In 1492, explorer Christopher Columbus reported seeing a glowing light in the water from the deck of his flag ship, the Santa Maria. It moved up and out of the water, stayed at deck level, then back under the water just as seamlessly. At the time Columbus was stuck in the doldrums of the Sargasso Sea, an area in the North Atlantic Ocean known for vast floating mats of sargassum seaweed. With a shortage of wind for his sails and running low on supplies, the crew was on the verge of mutiny. When they saw the strange light they took it as a good omen. This occurred in the Bermuda Triangle, an ocean area forming a triangle between Bermuda, Miami (Florida), and Puerto Rico known for unexplained phenomena, as well as the disappearances of ships, planes and people.
