UFO CAR LIFT ON HIGHWAY, RADIATION AND CAR IN A TREE!

Cars being lifted off the road by UFOs are not the kind of physical evidence cases that come along every day, but they do occasionally occur. Nobody expected that kind of thing to happen within less than fifty miles of New York City, by that’s exactly what happened… at least twice! The first time it happened everyone saw and nobody believed.
After my UFO seminar at a library in that area several people came over to talk with me about their experiences. Among them were a group of people that were excited to tell me about a recent UFO sighting and an incident that happened about fifteen years ago. Both events occurred just off of Sunrise Highway as it skirts Bohemia County Park not far from MacArthur Airport on Long Island. The more recent event occurred a few weeks before during rush hour traffic.
According to the witnesses, a large disc-shaped object suddenly appeared above Sunrise Highway and hovered there for a few seconds. Looking almost as though it was in some sort of distress, the object moved slowly in a shaking manner towards the park until it came down to a level that caused it to damage a fence. After contact with the fence, the disc moved towards an open area to set down briefly. Less than a minute later, the object took off and brushed one side of a nearby tree as it shot straight up in the sky until it was out of sight
I asked the witnesses how many people in cars they thought saw what happened? They said it must have been everyone, but only a handful of people reacted to it. That did not surprise me. I had worked on several cases where UFOs appeared directly above raised subway stations in Brooklyn and Queens, New York City. Those platforms were filled with people, yet only a handful noticed the objects which appeared and responded to them. Everyone else acted as though they were not there. That has led me to believe that some people can see UFOs and others cannot.
I wondered if the witnesses to the amazing Sunrise Highway sighting might meet me out near where the event occurred so they could show me the exact location. They agreed and we met up on the very next Saturday when everyone had time available and traffic would be lighter than during the week.
When we arrived at the spot where the event occurred, the first thing I noticed was that the top part of a section of the fence that separated Bohemia County Park from Sunrise Highway had an indentation in it. It looked like something that was heavy and oval or disc-shaped had pushed it down while moving over it. The next thing I noticed was even more amazing.
As the witnesses pointed to where they said the object landed, we all noticed a circular area of affected grass. It measured thirty feet in diameter which was typical of landing areas. The witnesses were as surprised as we were because that affected area had not been there immediately after the sighting or even a week later when they stopped just off Sunrise Highway to take a second look at the scene of the encounter.
We were all even more surprised to find that the tree which was hit by the disc near the circle was clearly damaged on one side and that side appeared to be withering away. The other side of the tree looked perfectly healthy. A sample of soil from the affected circle later showed that the soil had been affected in a manner that kept it from absorbing moisture.
The area of the park where the landing occurred was generally off limits to the public and considered a nature preserve. Although we did wander on to the property to photograph the area and collect physical evidence samples from the circle and tree, we knew some additional permission would be required to look for other evidence. We filed a request to go on to the property as part of a scientific investigation of the sighting. but were denied permission to do so. The reason given was that we might disturb the wildlife.
That was somewhat funny because the only wildlife that I could see in that immediate area was a Long Island Railroad Train that ran through the property on a regular basis. I wondered how disturbing that train was to the wildlife as it clanked through the preserve each day? Finding myself temporarily side-lined from that investigation by the bureaucratic roadblock, I set my sites on the older event that the witnesses told me about.
In the late 1970s a young man was driving an old Ford sedan home from work along Sunrise Highway in rush hour traffic during a late Friday afternoon. It was summertime and the road was packed with people headed home from work or out east to the Hamptons for the weekend. Traffic was inching along at a snail’s pace as the young man inside the old Ford listened to some music on his radio and hoped that he would make it home soon.

All of a sudden a large shadow appeared above his car. He looked out the driver’s side window and up. He saw a huge round object which hovered directly above. A person in the vehicle behind him and several others on the road noticed the object as well. As with the later event, not everyone on the road that day saw or recalled what happened. It was a couple of those eyewitnesses that came out to my seminar years later and told me about what happened. After witnessing a blinding flash of light, the witnesses said that the object and one of the cars below it vanished.
After the object disappeared, the drivers in cars closest to the incident got out of their cars and spoke to each other about what they saw. All agreed on what happened: A strange disc-shaped object appeared above them, lifted a car off the road, and both the object and the vehicle vanished in a flash of light. One driver was particularly upset because he had been directly behind the car that was taken away and wondered what happened to the vehicle and its driver?
The drivers that pulled off the road to discuss what they saw eventually made it to pay phones to report the incident to the authorities (these were the days before cell phones). The police dismissed the whole thing as a prank and did not even send out a patrol car to investigate the scene of the incident. They did invite the drivers to come in and file reports.
Later that week an almost tongue-in-cheek style article appeared in a small local paper. It mentioned how that several drivers claimed a UFO appeared above them along a section of Sunrise Highway in Suffolk County, lifted a car off the road and then vanished in a flash of light with the vehicle. The article went on to say how that a man was found in another area hours later and taken to a local hospital where he claimed that his car was the one lifted off the road by the strange object. Despite all the details, the article ended with the fact that police believed the entire incident was a prank.
One of the witnesses that came to my seminar saved the article and provided me with a copy of it that had survived all those years. Because a police report was generated from the incident, the article mentioned the driver’s name and the town in which he lived. I was able to track him down, made phone contact with the man, and later met him at a small restaurant in his area. He was eager to hear my take on his odd adventure because even after fifteen years, he still had few answers. He was even more interested in the fact that recent UFO activity had taken place in the exact same place where his car was lifted off the road all those years before.
Our conversation began with his own explanation of what happened to him on that summer afternoon along Sunrise Highway some fifteen years ago. He told me the exact same story that I heard from some of those who originally witnessed the event and came to my seminar to tell me about it, filling in personal details. He said that a UFO appeared above his old Ford sedan, lifted it off the roadway and that there was a sudden and blinding flash of light that followed. However, that was not the end of the story for him. It was just the beginning.
The man in the Ford suddenly found himself in a strange environment filled with bright and almost blinding light. His car engine was still running and the radio was loud with static. The vehicle’s automatic transmission was still in the ‘drive’ position, but his car wasn’t going anywhere. Unsure about what happened, the man I will call John thought he might have been in some sort of an accident. Thinking his car was hit or run off the road, he turned off the engine and waited for help. He assumed that the brightness he saw was caused by some kind of head injury. But the road was filled with cars, so he thought it could not be long before someone would come and offer him some assistance.
Before he could finish that thought, John saw the outlines of some people coming towards him and assumed they were coming to help. But as they got closer, he realized they were not exactly people. He stared in horror at five small creatures with grey skin, large eyes and tight-fitting jump suits of some sort. As they moved closer to his vehicle he rolled up his windows, locked all the doors and tried to bury himself in the foot well beneath the glove compartment on the passenger side of his car. Despite his best efforts to avoid contact with the beings, they approached the passenger side window determined to get at him.
One of the beings pushed down the passenger side window into the door jam with one hand and pulled John out of the vehicle with the other. Despite their size, these beings must have been very strong. John remembers hearing them make a strange sort of barking noise as they carried him off. He was certain that it was some type of a language, but not one which he could understand. While still listening to them he lost consciousness.
John’s next memory was of being naked and made to walk through several different environments. These were alternatively cold, hot, wet and dry. It was almost as if the beings were testing him in some way. He also remembered being subjected to a strange type of medical exam and believes that the beings may have taken samples of fluids from his body including sperm. Then everything went black again.
John woke up lying on the side of a dark rural road. He had no idea where he was, but was certain that he was no longer with the beings. His car was nowhere in sight. Seeing headlights in the distance that appeared to be coming towards him, he started yelling and waving his hands. A car stopped seeing that he seemed distressed and needed help. The driver took John to a nearby hospital emergency room (trauma center). On the way there he told the stunned driver what happened to him. The driver said nothing and after arriving at the hospital, helped him inside. He left and John never saw him again.
The E.R. staff took one look at John and immediately brought him into one of the examining rooms. They asked what happened to him, but by this time he was almost in shock and unsure if all that happened was merely a hallucination brought on by a head injury. He just said that he had been in some sort of a car accident and didn’t remember exactly what happened. One of the nurses wondered why his clothes were on backwards and inside out. He had no answer, but in his mind John imagined that the same beings that stripped him naked probably put his clothes back on and did it incorrectly.
The immediate concern of the E.R. staff was to try and treat the strange eruptions that appeared all over his body. They almost looked like bug bites that had gotten infected. Hours went by without any diagnosis of what the eruptions were. John was admitted to the hospital, placed in an isolation room and a number of tests were scheduled for the next morning. After asking one of the staff members what day and time it was, John realized that he had been with the strange beings for just over twelve hours before being returned.
The next morning a physician came into to see John. Fortunately for him, this doctor had some experience with radiation having once worked at a government research facility in a medical clinic years before. That physician was able to diagnose John’s condition as exposure to ionizing radiation. Although it looked serious, John inexplicably recovered from the condition in less than two days without any permanent physical damage.
The doctor and hospital staff continuously grilled John about how he could have possibly come into contact with radiation? He finally told them exactly what happened as best as he could remember it. The police showed up and he told them the same story. Although they thought the whole thing sounded crazy and was probably some kind of elaborate hoax or prank, neither the police or the doctors could account for the radiation exposure John suffered.
Things got stranger from that point on, if that was even possible. The police and hospital staff suddenly lost interest in John’s condition and odd story after his quick recovery. It was almost as if someone had intervened. A few days after John was released from the hospital, he returned to the scene of the car lift with a close friend that drove him there. The only strange thing they noticed was that some of the grass growing just off the shoulder near the spot where his car was lifted off the roadway had started to die.
John and his friend then proceeded to the area where he believed he was found wondering on the dark rural road after being returned by the odd creatures. John told his friend to stop the car after seeing a small ‘Posted’ land sign that was one of the first things he remembered seeing after he woke up. They got out and looked around noticing some patches of grass growing along the shoulder that were affected in the same way as the grass along the shoulder of Sunrise Highway.
That location was about nine miles east of the area where the car lift had taken place. This road was in a very rural area and few cars drove by while they were there. Taking note of their location, John later contacted the police officer in charge of the investigation into his missing vehicle. At some point he met the officer along that road. A day later John received a call from the officer who had some bizarre news to share with him.
The officer told him that a man who lived on property along the road where John found himself after his strange encounter had located the missing car on his property. The only catch was that the old Ford sedan was stuck up in a tree (literally). John couldn’t believe what he was hearing and the police officer assured him that what he was being told was no joke.
John’s friend drove him out to the property where the car was located. Both men were greeted with the almost unbelievable site of the old Ford sedan sitting on the top branches of a large tree. It looked as though the vehicle had been dropped from the sky and the police were there trying to find a way to get it down.
