I was watching something about Drive-In Movie Theaters the other day. It reminded me of a wild night I had at a Pinellas Park Drive In when I was a Senior at Boca Ciega H.S. in Gulfport, Fl.
The whole thing started at Lunch. The regulars at our table included me, my girlfriend, my friend Bruce, his girlfriend Amy, Becky and her twin sister Judy, and two other people. It was a cordial mix of Juniors and Seniors.
I mentioned TV commercials for a movie that was a bit like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, except they would ring a loud bell right before a really horrific scene so you could close your eyes if you didn't want to see it. Best of all, admission was only five bucks for a car load.
Six of us piled into my car that night and I still can't believe we went to the Drive In to see that stupid movie. It was gross and I'll spare you the details.
We spent more time at the snack bar than watching the movie. The food was fresh made and really good. On the way to and from the snack shack we knocked on car windows and scared the people inside that were making out.
Overall, it was fun and gave us lots to talk about at school.
