The Myth Of The Bicycle Wheel Religious Belief Somewhere in the early days of my life's journey as a Born-Again Christian I kept hearing about the religious “bicycle wheel”. Ecumenical minded church leaders expounded the idea that the journey to God is like a bicycle wheel. Each spoke represents a religion and all lead to the center, which is God. It's a well meaning, humanistic kind of observation which allows people of all faiths to celebrate their religious journey. It's also wrong.
