SCIENTISTS & ASTRONOMERS Say 3I/ATLAS Acts More Like A SPACECRAFT Than A COMET

SCIENTISTS & ASTRONOMERS Say 3I/ATLAS Acts More Like A SPACECRAFT Than A COMET

by Bill Knell

3I/ATLAS is looking less like a comet and more like some intelligently controlled probe or spacecraft. Astronomers studying it note that the thing has various anomalies which set it apart from other objects whizzing by our little corner of space. The fact that it came from outside of our solar system on a perfectly straight trajectory aligned with our planets is a starter. Its speed of an estimated 200,000 kilometers an hour is another thing. But wait, there's more!

Instead of the expected tail of a normal comet, 3I/ATLAS has a strange 6,000 kilometer long jet that points towards the Sun which is the exact opposite of what comets usually do. Some experts studying the latest data now say that it’s releasing a metallic cloud made of substances not natural to Earth. They believe this indicates that it may be covered by an artificial metal shield.

When it comes to 3I/ATLAS size definitely matters and adds to its uniqueness. Its size is currently estimated to be 12 miles long and 5 miles wide. POV: That's BIG! Then, there is a possible weight of billions of tons without much frozen water. Most other comets are loaded with ice. Add to that some really weird chemistry. There are unusually high levels of carbon compounds and cyanide gas which are chemicals rarely found in such amounts.

An increasing number of scientists now believe it may have formed in a completely different kind of star system and may be something not entirely (or at all) natural. More proof of this is that as 3I/ATLAS passes through the inner Solar System moving by Mars, Venus, and Jupiter, it becomes brighter, then dims, almost as if reacting to the Sun’s energy. Astronomers tracking the object have noticed small course changes which indicate self trajectory adjustments. Add to that the very unusual fact that it ignores the Sun’s pull. Comets just don't do that. And here's the kicker… 3I/ATLAS appears to come from the same area of space as the famous “WOW!” radio signal detected in 1977. Google says: “The "Wow!" signal was a 72-second strong, narrow-band radio signal detected in 1977 by the Big Ear radio telescope at Ohio State University, which was part of a Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) project. Astronomer Jerry Ehman famously wrote "Wow!" on the computer printout, which gave the signal its name, because the signal's attributes were consistent with a potential extraterrestrial transmission. While the signal has not been detected again, the mystery persists.”

3I/ATLAS is something new. Its metallic cloud, changing brightness, strange movement, and unknown origin is causing scientists and astronomers to rethink their positions. Many of them openly admit that this object is something new and completely different. My personal view is that it is an untraditional spacecraft, as we would think of one, on a mission which we might not understand even if we knew all the details. We can't help but place a human spin on everything which we encounter. Trying to understand 3I/ATLAS requires us to step out of our own sphere of knowledge and consider the fact that our science might not have all the answers once it reaches out into space.
