What Does The Modern 'Peace Sign' Really Mean?

by Bill Knell

The modern 'Peace Sign' became the symbol for rebellion against war, nukes and other things. According to Google "The modern peace sign was designed by Gerald Holtom for the British Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in 1958."

More a symbol of rebellion than of peace, it has a much deeper meaning than you might think. Looking first at the circle, it's easy to recognize it as a sign meaning 'universal' or "universality".

Google says "The circle is powerful and universal symbol representing unity, wholeness, infinity, and perfection across various cultures and contexts. It's often used to symbolize the cyclical nature of life, time, and the interconnectedness of all."

So we already have a powerful symbol which encircles a more powerful one. Inside that circle is the clear representation of an upside-down, broken cross. Its message is undeniable and clearly Satanic.

In Roman Times only the most hated and despotic criminals, rebels and anarchists were crucified on an upside down cross. So it's easy to understand the message conveyed by this seemingly innocent symbol.

The purpose of the sign of the broken cross is to mock God and reveal Satan's plan to universally attack and destroy God's Plan of Salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus. I would say the devil is doing a good job, all things considered in today's world.

The main thrust of Satan's plan is to bring back pagan rituals that represented rebellion against God in ancient times and worked well for him. Allow me to share several of these rituals with you.

Let's begin with Human Sacrifice. Archeologists have found worldwide evidence of human sacrifice. Google says "Human sacrifice was a widespread practice in various ancient cultures, often rooted in religious beliefs and rituals, and served a variety of purposes, including appeasement of deities, ensuring a prosperous afterlife, and reinforcing social power structures."

God had to constantly remind the Israelites to avoid the horrendous rituals practiced by the pagans that surrounded them. Here is a good example from 2 Kings 17:17 in the Bible...
"And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord to provoke Him to anger."

Chabsd.org says... "In biblical times there were numerous false gods that were popular in the ancient pagan societies, and, at times, among the Jewish people as well. Throughout the Tanach, there are many references to a rite named Molech, which involved passing children through fire, with many warnings from God to not observe it."

People would toss newborn babies and young children into fire pits used for burning garbage as sacrifices to false gods. In other cases, their throats would be slit or they would be buried alive as in the case of the children mummies of Llullaillaco...

"Three.Inca children were discovered in 1999 by Johan Reinhard near the summit of Llullaillaco, a mountain on the Argentina–Chile border. The children were sacrificed in an Inca religious ritual that took place around the year 1500. In this ritual, the  children were drugged with coca and alcohol, then placed inside a small chamber five feet beneath the ground, where they were left to die. Archaeologists consider them as being among the best-preserved mummies in the world." - Wikipedia

Children are still being killed by their parents today and for far less glorious reasons. Some young kids are just in the way of a parent's new relationship or their ability to go out and have a good time. Unborn children are especially targeted.

Google says, "According to the Guttmacher Institute, as of 2020, there were an estimated 2,548 abortions per day in the United States. This is based on data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which reported that there were 930,160 abortions in the United States in 2020.

The horrendous practices of the ancient people of Britain even caught the Romans by surprise. Some believe they were Druids, others say they were Celts. Their priests would gather criminals, the infirmed and children from communities in their area. They would be taken to a large wicker man made out of tree branches, straw and sticks. Once stuffed inside, the entire structure would be set on fire.

When Julius Caesar invaded Britain in 55 A.D, he became aware of this religious practice. He was sickened to the core and ordered all those responsible for it to be put to death. He later wrote about it in his Gallic Wars commentaries. Today, thousands of people attend the annual 'Burning Man' festival. No one is sacrificed (yet), but it is not a good sign of things to come.

In ancient times pagans practiced self mutilation and body marking. Because these practices were associated with false gods and religions, God warned his people to avoid these things. Leviticus 19:28, states, "You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the LORD." Today, self mutilation and tattooing are more popular than ever.

The message of the 'Peace Sign' also includes a diabolically smart way of replacing sound Bible teaching through a worldwide movement of false religions, false prophets and people willing to rebel against God in favor of the so-called delights of this world. It's interesting to note that cult leader Charles Manson encouraged his followers to wear clothing with a Peace Sign or Swastika on it.
The hand sign for peace was first used in a time of year to mean V for VICTORY. It likely means the same thing today. A victory for evil against good. There's nothing peaceful about these signs.

I don't say any of this to fundamentally criticize people who have made life choices for what they feel are good reasons. I am merely pointing out that there are two choices in this world. One leads to disaster. The other leads to eternal life and an earthly existence overseen by God.
